1. Introduction
At Home Based Learning Private Limited ("HBL", "we", "our", or "us"), we respect your right to control your personal information.
This Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy explains:
- how to delete your Math Hero Chronicles account;
- what happens after you request deletion;
- what data is deleted;
- what data may be temporarily retained;
- when deletion becomes permanent;
- your options before deletion is completed.
This policy applies to all player accounts, including:
- Email & Password accounts
- Apple Sign-In accounts
- Google Sign-In accounts
- Guest Accounts stored on our servers
2. How to Delete Your Account
Players may request account deletion directly within the Game.
To delete your account:
- Open Math Hero Chronicles.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message.
- Confirm your deletion request.
If you cannot access your account, you may contact:
to request assistance.
For security purposes, we may request additional information to verify account ownership before processing manual deletion requests.
3. Guest Accounts
Guest Accounts are also stored securely on our cloud servers to allow game progress to be saved and synchronized.
Deleting the application from your device does not delete your Guest Account.
If you wish to permanently delete a Guest Account, you must:
- use the in-app Delete Account feature; or
- contact our support team.
Guest Accounts are subject to the same deletion process and retention periods as registered accounts.
4. What Happens After You Request Deletion
After confirming your deletion request:
- your account enters a 30-day pending deletion period;
- your account is marked for deletion;
- your deletion request may be cancelled during this period.
During the pending deletion period, some account features may be restricted.
5. Cancelling a Deletion Request
If you change your mind, you may cancel your deletion request at any time during the 30-day pending deletion period.
Once cancelled:
- your account will be restored;
- your game progress will remain intact;
- your Virtual Items will remain available;
- no data will be deleted.
After the 30-day period has expired, deletion becomes permanent and cannot be cancelled.
6. Permanent Account Deletion
After the 30-day pending deletion period:
- your account will be permanently deleted;
- your personal information will be removed or anonymized where appropriate;
- your gameplay data will no longer be recoverable.
Permanent deletion cannot be reversed.
The Company is unable to restore permanently deleted accounts.
7. Data Deleted
Permanent deletion generally includes, but is not limited to:
Personal Information
- Name
- Nickname
- Email address
- Authentication identifiers
- Account profile
Gameplay Information
- Stage progress
- Campaign progress
- Heroes
- Hero Shards
- Relics
- Equipment
- Inventory
- Diamonds
- Materials
- Achievements
- Battle history
- Daily rewards
- Event progress
- Guild participation
- Leaderboard participation
- Saved settings
Cloud Save Data
All associated cloud save information stored for your account will also be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
8. Virtual Currency and Virtual Items
Following permanent deletion:
All Virtual Currency and Virtual Items are permanently removed.
This includes:
- Diamonds
- Heroes
- Hero Shards
- Relics
- Equipment
- Treasure Chests
- Event Rewards
- Cosmetics
- Future digital content
These items cannot be recovered after permanent deletion.
9. Purchases
Purchases made through:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
remain subject to the policies of the respective platform.
Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund.
Any purchased Diamonds or Virtual Items remaining on the deleted account will be permanently lost once deletion is completed.
10. Leaderboards
When an account is permanently deleted:
- the account will no longer appear in future leaderboard seasons;
- current leaderboard entries may be removed where practical;
- historical records may be anonymized (for example, displaying "Deleted Player") where necessary to preserve competition history and data integrity.
11. Guild Membership
If a deleted account belongs to a Guild:
- the player will automatically leave the Guild;
- any Guild roles will be removed.
If the deleted player is the Guild Leader:
- leadership may be transferred to another eligible member;
- if no eligible member exists, the Guild may be disbanded at the Company's discretion.
12. Data Retention
Certain limited information may be temporarily retained after an account deletion request where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with legal obligations;
- prevent fraud;
- investigate abuse;
- resolve disputes;
- enforce our Terms of Service;
- comply with financial or taxation requirements.
Such retained information will only be kept for as long as reasonably necessary under applicable law.
13. Analytics Data
Anonymous or aggregated analytics data that cannot reasonably identify an individual player may continue to be retained.
This information helps us:
- improve gameplay;
- improve game balance;
- monitor performance;
- understand feature usage;
- improve educational effectiveness.
This data does not identify individual players.
14. Third-Party Services
Certain account-related information may also be processed by trusted third-party service providers including:
- Firebase Authentication
- Firebase Cloud Firestore
- Firebase Analytics
- Google AdMob
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
These providers manage certain data according to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.
15. Recovery After Permanent Deletion
Once the 30-day deletion period has expired and the account has been permanently deleted:
- the account cannot be restored;
- gameplay progress cannot be restored;
- Virtual Currency cannot be restored;
- Virtual Items cannot be restored;
- purchases cannot be reattached to a new account unless supported by the relevant platform and applicable law.
Please ensure you genuinely wish to delete your account before confirming your request.
16. Parents and Guardians
Parents or legal guardians who believe a child has created an account may contact us regarding account deletion.
To protect player privacy and account security, we may request reasonable proof of identity or authority before processing such requests.
17. Compliance
This policy has been designed to support compliance with applicable privacy and consumer protection requirements, including:
- Apple App Store requirements
- Google Play Developer requirements
- Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
- Other applicable privacy laws where relevant
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time.
When significant changes are made, we may:
- update the "Last Updated" date;
- publish the revised policy on our website;
- notify players within the Game where appropriate.
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
