Thank you for considering Math Hero Chronicles for your child.

Math Hero Chronicles is developed by Home Based Learning Private Limited (HBL) with a simple mission:

To make learning mathematics engaging, rewarding and enjoyable through adventure, exploration and meaningful gameplay.

We understand that parents want educational apps that are not only fun but also safe, respectful of privacy, and designed with children's wellbeing in mind.

This guide explains how Math Hero Chronicles works, how we protect children, and how parents can support their child's learning journey.

Our Educational Philosophy

Math Hero Chronicles is an educational role-playing game (RPG).

Instead of asking children to repeatedly complete worksheets, the game encourages them to learn mathematics by progressing through adventures, unlocking heroes and overcoming challenges.

Children earn in-game rewards by solving mathematics questions rather than through random gameplay alone.

Our goal is to help children develop:

• confidence in mathematics;
• problem-solving skills;
• perseverance;
• logical thinking;
• positive learning habits.

The game is intended to support learning, not replace classroom teaching, teachers, tuition or parental guidance.

Who Is This Game Designed For?

Math Hero Chronicles is primarily designed for players aged 9 years and above.

Children under 18 should use the game with the guidance or permission of a parent or legal guardian where appropriate.

Parents are encouraged to remain involved in their child's digital activities.

Creating an Account

Players may choose to play using:

• Guest Account
• Email & Password
• Apple Sign-In
• Google Sign-In

Guest Accounts are stored securely on our cloud servers to preserve game progress.

Parents are encouraged to help children link Guest Accounts to a permanent account if they wish to retain progress across devices.

What Information Do We Collect?

To operate the game, we may collect limited information such as:

• player's nickname;
• email address (where applicable);
• gameplay progress;
• inventory;
• achievements;
• leaderboard information;
• purchases;
• device information necessary for compatibility and analytics.

We do not intentionally collect:

• precise GPS location;
• contact lists;
• SMS messages;
• photos;
• microphone recordings;
• payment card information.

How Is My Child's Information Used?

Information is used to:

• save game progress;
• synchronize progress across devices;
• restore purchases;
• improve gameplay;
• maintain leaderboards;
• detect cheating;
• improve game performance;
• provide customer support.

We do not sell children's personal information.

Advertisements

Math Hero Chronicles contains optional Rewarded Advertisements.

Children are never required to watch advertisements to continue playing.

Rewarded advertisements are entirely optional and may provide additional in-game rewards.

The game does not currently include:

• forced banner advertisements;
• forced interstitial advertisements;
• automatic full-screen advertisements during normal gameplay.

In-App Purchases

Math Hero Chronicles offers optional purchases of Diamonds, which can be used to obtain virtual items within the game.

Purchases are processed securely through:

• Apple App Store
• Google Play Store

Parents may wish to:

• enable parental purchase controls;
• require password confirmation for purchases;
• discuss responsible spending with their children.

Deleting an account does not automatically entitle a player to a refund for previous purchases.

Fair Play

We encourage every player to compete honestly.

The game includes systems to discourage:

• cheating;
• bots;
• modified applications;
• unfair leaderboard manipulation.

Fair play ensures that every child has an equal opportunity to learn and succeed.

Online Safety

Although the current version of Math Hero Chronicles has limited community interaction, we encourage parents to teach children good online habits.

Children should never:

• share passwords;
• share home addresses;
• share phone numbers;
• share school information;
• arrange to meet strangers;
• share sensitive personal information.

If additional online features are introduced in future updates, we will continue to prioritise child safety.

Healthy Gaming Habits

We encourage healthy and balanced gameplay.

Parents may wish to:

• set reasonable daily playtime limits;
• encourage regular breaks;
• balance gaming with schoolwork, exercise and family activities;
• celebrate learning achievements rather than focusing only on rewards.

Our goal is to motivate learning—not excessive screen time.

Account Deletion

Players or parents may request account deletion at any time using the in-app account settings.

After a deletion request:

• the account enters a 30-day pending deletion period;
• the request may be cancelled during this period;
• after 30 days, deletion becomes permanent.

Parents' Rights

Parents or legal guardians may contact us to:

• ask questions about our privacy practices;
• request assistance with account deletion;
• report concerns;
• report inappropriate behaviour;
• seek help with technical issues.

For security reasons, we may request reasonable verification before acting on account-related requests.
